Loose Diamonds-Save Money
The main reason why the cost becomes so low is that we cut out the middleman who adds his fees on top.
If thinking of buying certified loose diamonds, then approach manufacturer directly. You can also ask diamond cutters directly just to find wholesale prices. Before you part with any money check your sources out. Make sure they have been trading for a very long time. This means they are reputable and so they are reasonably safe. After all if they were cheats they wouldn’t be in business for that long. That is how I choose my suppliers. Without the additional costs, and dealing with the diamond cutters it allows you to buy a better quality diamond and you get more diamond value.
You need to know how to buy a diamond, how to determine it's quality, and what it's true value is. To do this, you will need to be familiar with your 4c's. There are other things such as clarity, cut, color, and carat.
Look for a reputable gemologist who is qualified enough to know diamonds. Take him or her along to the purchase. Once you have bought the loose diamonds make sure you get a certificate to show you the grading and a guarantee.
Determine the value of your diamonds through a grading system. Diamonds are graded as being Ideal, Premium, Good, Poor, so on and so forth. A diamond grade alone does not determine it's resale value, but it can help you determine the quality standard.
Having bought your loose diamonds make sure a qualified gemologist gives you a blueprint highlighting all the imperfections in the consignment of loose diamonds you are buying. Get a second opinion just so you know that nothing has been missed. Most important of all remember certification of your loose diamonds is an outline of its quality. It is not the market value. To find true wholesale prices you will need to know your diamonds better than any expert. For this it is wise to have them valued by several experts and cross-reference each valuation so the imperfections are not missed. Nothing worse than having a flawed diamond.

Getting Engaged-Choosing A Ring
Thinking of getting married then choosing an engagement for your loved is going to be a big expense and depending on how much money you have to spend you definitely want to choose something that will look good. There are several places you can look for a nice looking engagement ring without having to spend too much money. A good place to start is at home amongst your relatives. Perhaps your mother or sister or aunt or niece died and left you some jewelry-antique jewelry always has a high intrinsic worth as well as sentimental value. Maybe some-one in your family – like your great aunt had a long and happy marriage so it would be in keeping with tradition to pass on a family heirloom. The chances are that coupled with today’s modern diet her ring would be too small to fit your bride – but a ring can easily be resized by adding extra gold for the new bride’s finger. Not only will this save you a lot of money but also it is a great way of welcoming a new member into the family with a unique gift that means a lot to you. If she truly loves you then she won’t say no.
If the antique ring has a diamond the chances are that it will be a small stone, but replacing it with a larger carat can change it. Depending on how big your family is and how many of them have left you jewelry it would certainly be ideal. Giving the new bride an antique is very traditional in both Jewish and Christian religions.
With the variety of jewelry we have today I am sure that you will find something that suits your budget. Once again depending on your circumstances you can still save money by choosing the type of metal you want in your ring. It could either be silver or gold. It all depends on preferences-some women prefer silver to gold. Sterling silver ounce for ounce is a lot cheaper than gold and she may want something that matches the rest of her jewelry. Another way is to buy a gemstone separately and have it set once you have found the woman you love. If you like jewelry and can be bothered to plan ahead then you can have your pick of unusual gem stones and give your bride an engagement ring that no on else will have in the world. In my opinion diamonds are a girl’s best friend but many people don’t choose the traditional white diamond wanting to be different from everybody else.
